About Too Flame
Too Flame is couture streetwear — where singular artistry meets cultural pulse. Each piece is one-of-one, handcrafted with precision, and designed to be both wearable and unforgettable.
We believe fashion should balance opposites: rebellion and refinement, immediacy and timelessness, intimacy and spectacle. Too Flame is for the those who seek radical self-expression without compromise.
Our Story
Too Flame was born from a deep love for storytelling through clothing — where vintage soul meets modern edge, and sustainability is as essential as style. Founded by designer Seseley Paige, the brand transforms high quality material, reclaimed fabrics, deadstock materials, and unexpected finds into bold, modern pieces that merge artistry, ethics, and individuality.
The idea for Too Flame first sparked on the Mississippi Gulf Coast during the pandemic. At the time, Seseley had been selling vintage clothing on Etsy for years but felt the pull toward creating something entirely her own. She wanted to honor the beauty of vintage textiles while giving them a new life — reimagining them into contemporary silhouettes with conceptual, narrative-driven details. Every Too Flame garment is a rejection of fashion’s waste cycle, proving that sustainability can be both luxurious and boundary-pushing.
Her first sewing machine, a vintage Brother ZA-350 from the 1970s, was gifted to her by a friend in 2022 who rescued it from the trash — a fitting origin for a brand built on reimagining what others discard. After a beginner sewing class in Biloxi, Mississippi with Nadine Gentles of Dorcas Couture, Seseley relocated to Austin, Texas in 2023 to take a course in Ready-to-Wear Construction — all while balancing a decade-long career in Information Technology.
Too Flame made its runway debut in Austin on 6th St, November 11, 2023, at a Divine Timing Productions show — a chance encounter with organizer, Hannah Bradish outside a comedy venue led to that first catwalk moment. The following season, the brand opened Austin Fashion Week’s Emerge Runway for emerging designers with its Autumn/Winter ’24 collection. Since then, Too Flame has caught the attention of talent scouts for shows in Los Angeles, New York, and Paris, including the Rise NYFW showcase (CFDA calendar), Runway 7, Revive Fashion Week Los Angeles, and Flying Solo Paris & New York.
In 2025, Seseley was a Fashion Forward Fund grant recipient for Flying Solo's NYFW "Ones to Watch" September showcase. She also was awarded participation in EForAll's Business Accelerator program in Lynn, Massachusetts.
A self-taught and fiercely independent designer, Seseley draws from a lifetime of artistic exploration — photography, painting, jewelry making, and poetry — as well as a nomadic upbringing shaped by her father’s Navy career. Growing up in rural Louisiana and later spending years in the vibrant Gulf Coast and New Orleans, she carries a blend of small-town roots and big-city inspiration into every collection.
Too Flame is more than fashion — it’s wearable art for the Glowmads: radiant, nomadic creatives who live for self-expression. Each piece is created with intention, using slow, thoughtful production. The result is clothing that challenges the ordinary, honors the planet, and tells a story worth wearing.
